The Indian Red Cross Society – Mumbai is a voluntary humanitarian organization to protect human life and health based in India. It is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and so shares the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

The society’s mission is providing relief in times of disasters/emergencies and promoting health & care of vulnerable people and communities.

Every year, thousands of people die in unintended workplace accidents throughout the world. When you consider how many lives are lost each year, it makes you question what can be done to save not just our important employees, but their lives as well.

The Indian Red Cross Society – Mumbai conducted ‘First Aid & CPR Training’ for Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on 14th of September, 2022.

When you make first aid training available to your employees, you are telling them that you care. When employees see this, they are comforted knowing that they have a safe work environment. First Aid Training at work even works as an excellent team-building exercise and in turn, boosts the morale of the team. First aid is the FIRST ASSISTANCE or support given to a casualty or a sick person for any injury or sudden illness before the arrival of an ambulance, a qualified paramedical or medical person or before arriving at a facility that can provide professional medical care. First Aid is not about giving medicine or diagnosing a condition.

As a consequence of disaster emergencies or accidents people suffer injuries which require urgent care and transportation to the nearest healthcare facility.

First Aid and CPR Courses encompass different lifesaving skills. First Aid helps assist a person who has been injured. On the other-hand CPR applies to persons who have experienced Cardiac arrest are unable to breathe CPR.
